The Guard Mounting

In autumn of 2004 a new ceremony was introduced in Moscow Kremlin in order to demonstrate the historical succession of military traditions - a ceremonial guard mounting of Presidential Regiment mounted and unmounted guards. The guard mounting combines all the spectacular elements of Russian military ceremonies, such as the demonstration of weapon techniques and "mounted turnaround" elements accompanied by the music of Presidential Orchestra. The following units participate in the ceremonial mounting: Special Guard Company; Presidential Regiment Mounted Escort of Honour; Presidential Orchestra; Presidential Regiment of Moscow Kremlin Commandant Service. The ceremony takes place each Saturday in 12:00 in Moscow Kremlin.
