In Ust-Donetsk district the Rasdorsky Ethnographic Museum Park is situated. Razdorsky settlement was the first capital of Don Cossacks. That's where first noisy Troop meetings were held, the questions of war and peace were solved, the victories celebrated, Tsar's and foreign ambassadors greeted and seen off.

History of Starocherkasskaya village is the live history of Don Cossacks, of the free life on Don. Thousands of Russian and foreign tourists come here to see the unique monuments of Starocherkassk, of which the main one is Resurrection Troop cathedral. Near the Resurrection cathedral a matchless architectural complex is situated, that is the Chieftain's Homestead of the Efremovs, including a XVII century two-storeyed stone palace, Donskaya home church and a set of XVII-XIX centuries' buildings. Peter and Paul church is located nearby. It is famous by the fact that in 1751 here Mikhail Platov, the hero Cossack chieftain of 1812 Patriotic war was christened.

Next to Peter and Paul church a two-storeyed stone house is preserved, in which, according to a legend, rebel chieftain Kondratiy Bulavin lived and was assassinated.

In Rantenskoe stow the Transfiguration church is located, that was built in 1740 by design of Russian architects of Rastrelli and Rinaldi school.
