WREATH OF RUSSIAN ESTATES

In summer of 2006 a new matchless tour is to be introduced in Moscow - the "Wreath of Russian Estates". One of its features a retro train would be. It simulates one of early ÕÕ century and will cruise over Nikolaevskaya railroad. The historical base of the program consists of the remaining memorials of ÕVII - XIX centuries' city architecture - estates of Tsars, nobles and merchants. The works on the project are being coordinated by Moscow Tourism Committee.

The tourists would be transferred from the railway stations to the historical objects - to city estates of the Khruschev counts, the Lopukhin boyars, the Tsars. The guests would experience not only comfort and first-rate service, but also participation in historical, literature and musical salons, balls and masquerades. Service blocks will be created in each estate with cafes, lavatories, book and souvenir stores.

The "Time Tour" is based on archive documents, memoirs of contemporaries, legends and fables that form the first 11 excursion routes of the program. In prospect the number of excursion routes will be increased and extended further than just Moscow. The "Wreath of Russian Estates" program is a new dimension in representation of Moscow, because Russian estate is a special part of Russian historical way of life, that has no counterparts worldwide.

Excursion routes will be served with special modern Russian-made buses, having big panoramic windows and low floor lever, that is especially important for seniors that form the majority of foreign tourists and helps to save time during boarding and dismounting.

Regarding the retro train - it will be a completely new wagonage consisting of modern conditioned carriages. In the front part of the carriages plasma video screens will be placed, simulating "windows to the past" and demonstrating programs on Moscow history. Retro style would affect only the appearance of the carriages, that will look like the first Russian railway trains. There will be five carriages in the train - an Emperor's carriage, two first-class carriages and two second-class carriages. The tourists will be served by conductors and ober-conductors in uniforms of early ÕÕ century.
